Mind-Body Duality
Mind-body duality is the philosophical idea that the mind and body are separate entities that interact with each other.
According to this view, the mind is non-physical and is responsible for mental processes such as consciousness, thoughts, emotions, and beliefs, while the body is physical and composed of matter, including the brain, which is responsible for bodily functions.
The Neo-Absurdist acknowledges the Mind-Body Problem has bedeviled philosophers from Buddha through Descartes and beyond.
Neo-Absurdism does not take sides in this philosophical debate, nor does it offer special insight into this philosophical body of knowledge.
Neo-Absurdism limits its focus to the mind - the mind of the specific individual.
The Neo-Absurdist cherishes Descartes’ Cogito, ergo sum - I think therefore I am.
